TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Twenty years of activity have led to the accurate definition and improvement of raw materials and processing techniques with cutting-edge processes, machines and drying ovens which allow the processing and drying of tomatoes without altering the organoleptic properties and the unique and unmistakable flavor. However, the Pomup development never reaches its peak, but always remains in a study phase to keep up with the times and improve day after day.

THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Cultivation and Harvest

Our tomatoes are grown with a natural method. The high quality standard of the raw material is guaranteed through bees pollination and the use of no chemicals. Harvesting is done by hand and involves a first selection of the harvested tomatoes.

Selection and Washing

After many quality controls, the product is selected on the basis of its organoleptic characteristics in order to guarantee crunchy and pulpy slices and the original red intense color. Once washed and disinfected it can move on on to the next step.

Cutting and Salting

Then, the selected tomatoes are cut in 6 to 8 wedges with a cutter and then salted.

Semi Dehydration in the oven

In this phase, the tomatoes are placed in large oven to complete the semi-dehydration process of the tomato which lasts between 10 and 12 hours.

Seasoning & Packaging

The dressing includes the addition of oregano, garlic and seed oil which is the only preservative used not to alter the taste and the organoleptic properties. The product is then placed in the packing machine which ends the process with heat sealing.
